Alex Barker is now a Registered Provisional Psychologist. Rates for a Provisional Psychologist are $180 per 50-minute session. We encourage you to reach out to your insurance company before the first session to see if your specific insurance plan will reimburse you for the cost of counselling, either partially or fully. We are able to direct bill to Alberta Blue Cross and Greenshield for Alex Barker.

Hayley Rovensky will be offering online appointments only starting September 29 2024

Couples appointments -each individual must fill out an intake form and have a profile created prior to the appointment.

Child/youth appointments-a parent/guardian is required to attend the first portion of each initial child appointment. If there is a custody agreement in place or you do not have full custody with decision making, please contact our office as additional paperwork is required prior to the child attending the appointment.

Virtual appointments-the online link for your appointment will be sent 30 mins prior to the scheduled appointment time. Virtual appointments are done through Jane App.

Cancellation policy- We do require 24 hours notice for all cancellations or a full session fee may be charged.

Psychology

Alex is a provisional psychologist who completed her Master of Counselling with the City University of Seattle. From non-profit casework and copywriting to dog mushing and women’s centre peer support, her adventurous spirit and wide range of work and volunteer experience ultimately inspired her to pursue a career in counselling.

Sessions with Alex are client-centred, strengths-based, and rooted in attachment. She focuses on helping individuals, couples, and groups struggling with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, eating disorders, and low self-esteem understand their interpersonal patterns and develop coping strategies to improve their quality of life. She is inclusive, collaborative, and believes that you know your story best, so together, you can find the best path forward to reach your unique goals.

Lidiya is currently not accepting new clients

Lidiya Prychepa (She/Her/Hers) is an intern at Helix Psychology who brings a genuine passion for helping others. She completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology at the University of Alberta and is currently pursuing her Masters Degree in Counselling at City University of Seattle.

Lidiya’s key areas of interest in psychology include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Trauma-Informed Therapy. She applies a Person-centered approach and believes that each client comes with a unique story and is an expert in their own journey to healing. Lidiya is also fluent in Ukrainian and is happy to hold sessions in whichever language clients feel most comfortable with.

Lidiya has a particular interest in working with clients who have experienced trauma, depression and anxiety, and she is dedicated to creating a safe and nurturing environment for individuals to heal and regain control over their lives. She finds immense inspiration in witnessing the resilience and strength that clients possess during their healing journey.

Kylee (She/Her) is a student at City University currently in the process of attaining her MA in counselling psychology. Since completing her BSc in Psychology at MacEwan University, she began working in various roles including as a family coach, community aide, and group leader for children and teens with autism.

Kylee works from a person-centered approach that strives to create a space that is safe, welcoming, and open-minded for her clients. She believes that you are the expert in your own life and works collaboratively with you towards your goals.

Hayley is a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) through the Canadian Counselling & Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). She’s also an elementary school teacher and has been teaching for five years.

She believes that everyone is unique, and they all have different strengths as well as needs. You are the expert of your life, so by working together, you can work towards creating the life you envision for yourself. She believes it is important to feel comfortable in a counselling setting, so she aims to provide a safe, welcoming, and relaxed space for her clients.

Tiara is a City University student studying to attain her master’s degree in counselling. She has worked in various special education and mental health capacities over the past 7 years.

She believes that all individuals have the potential for growth, healing, and resilience. By creating a safe and trusting therapeutic space with genuineness, she aims to provide clients with a collaborative experience. She strives to work alongside you to achieve your goals and cultivate your overall well-being by implementing a client-centred approach.

She works primarily from cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) approaches while tailoring therapy to meet the unique needs of every client.
